It works if you do your part. I use it on 6in gongs at 235yds on a flat top AR M4gery with heavy barrel. Accuracy is good, but the rear sight has no rear sight elevation control. The UP and DOWN are referring to flip Up or Down, not elevation. Not pretty and will not fold down low enough to mount a scope over it without a riser of some sort, but it does work well and mine holds zero just fine. I have the front site mounted on the hand rail and they align right, will not align on a railed gas block unless it is even with the upper receiver rail.

I picked this sight up at a gunshow for $[...], I just wanted something on the rifle (bullbarreled flattop AR) when I took it home, didn't want to be Sightless. Anyway I took it to the range and zeroed it went through about 100 rounds no problem. Later I bought optics for the rifle. Although these sights do fold out of the way, there is no way to mount a scope on the rifle with this optic folded, it simply folds too high, I suppose you could get high scope mount but that would put your scope way above bore and make a cheekweld impossible, not something you would want on a scoped rifle. Anyway i ended up getting Mapul MBUS that fit under the scope mounted at standard height no problem and moved this flip sight to my M4.
I took it to the range and re zeroed it, fired about a hundred rounds This time it was having more trouble holding zero, a few time the sight would fold halfway down and need to be pushed back into the upright position.
I took the rifle to the range with a friend, with in about 50 more rounds the sight went from the sometimes folding halfway down to folding back into the down position with every shot.
The UTG flip sight utterly failed within 3oo rounds, even though it is cheap you are throwing your money away, for about $30 more you can buy a Magpul MBUS that will probably outlast your rifle.
This sight might be ok for airsoft but has no place on a real rifle
Learn from my mistake, the sights are one of the most important parts of your rifle DONT BUY CRAP

I use this as my BUIS on an S&W AR. It's the upper sight piece from an A2 carry handle sight, but does not have elevation adjustment. Flips down nicely for a heads up display or scope. Good product, great price.

Probably not something that i would buy with serious work in mind, but it's actually not bad at all, especially when you factor in the very low price. It feels very solid and clamps onto the rail well, gives positive click-type feedback for windage and fold easily. My one real complaint is that it wobbles some while in the up position. It's not a deal breaker and doesn't rattle, just enough wobble to notice.

Installed this site along with the UTG Flip-up Tactical Front Sight Tower on my Stag AR15. Both sights fit and work. It was surprisingly easy to install and amazingly both sights were dead on when sighting my rifle. It literally took 2 minutes to install and sight the rifle. I have sent over 300 rounds down range with this site on my AR. I have not experienced any problems with it folding down and/or becoming loose. Quality Sight...Great Price!
